You read that right, I feel burned out. Tired all the time, forcing myself to train, not enjoying the rides or runs. Where am I? Who am I?
I so do not want to under train, but I somehow know I am already in that category. So why am I burned out??? I will guess that it has to do with my nutrition as of late - it is not good. I have been eating crap and not drinking nearly enough water. So I conjecture that this is the reason for my current burnt feeling.
It has to change, I have to change, the event is in 39 days. I need 14 more days of intense training. I do not want to be tired anymore. I am not talking about the naps needed after a long ride of brick. I am talking about just being tire, not wanting to get out of bed.
I had a sprint tri this past weekend, the Steelman. It is always a great race, Dale does an excellent job of putting it together and he always has a great give-away, this year a cooler. I had an okay race, finished 23 overall, 4th in my age group. My swim was well kinda slow I wanted to swim between 10-12 mins, I swam in 12:55 and I know where I slacked. Bike was decent, 43 mins, should have been around 40mins, run was great 7:30 pace - I am happy with that. So it was not my best Steelman not my worse either, I would have liked to been faster. I will blame it on the miles of training and lack of any sprint training.
It is time to get to bed, I am tired and have to get up at 5:30 for a 3 mile swim.
