P90X3 Week 1


Week 1 is complete. As a group we decided to move to FB for our daily support/venting.

Week 1 was a good week. The workouts were good and I was happy they were only 30 minutes.

  • Total Synergistics - Core workout with pull-ups - works your entire body
  • Agility X - agility, plyo and balance drills - you need room for this one and will burn calories
  • X3 Yoga - good intro to yoga workout, if you like yoga sub the original yoga X and do half of it
  • The Challenge - killer chest and pull-up workout - you will be sore after this one
  • CVX - cardio with weights - yes workout your shoulders while doing cardio
  • The Warrior - no equipment needed - upper, cardio, middle, lower - hits it all
  • Dynamix - nice recovery w/o - stretching without feeling like you just stretched
Big THANK YOU to my fellow Xplorers - Chrissy, Kathy, Nina, Jeannie, and Collette, without you there I would have cheated on the nutrition and missed a workout. Knowing that you were reading and supporting made the difference.

I was able to complete all of my run and swim workouts along with my P90X3 workouts. I did not get in any of my planned bikes - I need to get 2 in per week starting this week.

I only had one day of craving bad food - you know cake, donuts, soda, beer, etc. Other that that I stuck to my diet, but definitely need to get more protein intake. I will be adding a bigger breakfast with more egg whites and another 1-2 protein shakes.

I was very sore a few days, mostly my triceps and back. Sore to touch actually, it was also hard to pull on my suit jacket for work, but I go through it.
