I find it best to map out my workouts by month. This allows me to focus on doing the workouts rather than planning the workouts. As I mentioned in an earlier post, I am training for a 1/2 Mary as such, I need to run. I love swimming and have a better work week when I get 3 swims in prior to work.
I want to ride more this year - contemplating another 70.3 triathlon - so I have those workouts planned as well.
I will do the same for my nutrition, except that will be on a weekly basis and will share when completed.
Having this all planned out ahead lets me track my success easier.
Here is my Calendar for the first month:
Yes, it is ambitious but I like to set my goals high in order to work to reach them. I know this will be tough to keep - the girls have swimming M - Th evening, soccer on every other M, every Th & Sunday. Thankfully, the ole lady takes care of swimming practices which will free me up for runs and P90X3 workouts. Every other M & Th will be tough to get the workouts in, I need to get out of work ASAP to get my runs and bikes in. The weekends will be fine time wise, hopefully I will have enough energy :)
